Wilson County, Tennessee – July 29, 2024 – Wilson Rides Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transportation and reducing isolation for older adults in Wilson County, is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of its recent Give65 fundraising campaign. The 4th Annual Give65 Event, a 65-hour online giving event exclusively benefiting Wilson Rides Inc., was held from July 23 to July 26 and was proudly co-hosted by Wilson Rides Inc. and Home Instead Senior Care, Wilson County. The campaign, which saw tremendous community engagement, highlighted the extraordinary generosity and spirit of the Wilson County community.

The campaign featured a mix of matching gifts, donations, and challenges, which saw the entire community come together in support of Wilson Rides Inc.’s mission. Local businesses, individuals, and civic groups played a pivotal role, with many stepping forward to offer matching gifts that doubled the impact of individual donations.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received,” said Gaye Lynn Wilson, Executive Director of Wilson Rides Inc. “Raising $38,075 is a significant achievement, and it would not have been possible without the collective effort and generosity of our community. Each contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal of enhancing the lives of older adults in Wilson County.”

Give65’s goal was to inspire people to come together and give in support of less fortunate older adults and the charitable organizations serving them. In 2024, Home Instead Franchisee Owner, Maggie Lea, purchased the rights to the Give65 platform and granted Wilson Rides Inc. permission to use the branding and the platform.
