The West End Home Foundation focuses exclusively on enriching the lives of older adults in Davidson County and its six contiguous counties, including Wilson County. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation has distributed over $25 million to nonprofit organizations addressing the unique needs of older adults. The Foundation’s grant-making efforts span a broad range of impact areas, helping nonprofit partners transform funding into meaningful outcomes that strengthen communities and improve lives.

“Wilson Rides is deeply honored to be a recipient of The West End Home Foundation grant,” Executive Director Gaye Lynn Wilson added. “This funding will enable us to expand our programs and services, ensuring that adults 55+ in our community can live more independent, connected, and fulfilling lives.”

Wilson Rides provides transportation to appointments including medical appointments, social engagement opportunities, and resources that combat isolation and support aging in place. This grant will allow the organization to strengthen its existing initiatives and develop new strategies to meet the growing needs of adults 55+ in Wilson County.

We have watched Wilson Rides evolve from an idea to a robust program that is providing transportation and other essential services to help Wilson County’s older adults thrive” reports Dianne Oliver, Executive Director of the West End Home Foundation.  “We commend Gaye Lynn and her board for their leadership, passion and innovation and we are proud to be a funding partner.
