Medical Equipment Pick-Up & Community Care Program

Restoring Independence Through Shared Resources

Sometimes the smallest things — a walker, a shower chair, a wheelchair — can make the biggest difference in someone’s life. For many older adults and individuals in Wilson County, access to medical equipment and basic care supplies is limited by cost. Wilson Rides is helping change that.

Through partnerships with local churches, senior centers, assisted living communities, and Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital, Wilson Rides collects and redistributes medical equipment and incontinence supplies so uninsured and underinsured neighbors can receive what they need — free of charge.

Equipment and supplies may include:

  • Incontinence products
  • Wheelchairs and transport chairs
  • Walkers and rollators
  • Crutches and canes
  • Potty chairs and shower chairs
  • Hospital beds and lift chairs
  • Disposable and washable bed pads
  • Other mobility and care supplies as available

Our team coordinates pickups, organizes equipment, and ensures items are matched with people who need them most. In partnership with Daisy’s Donations, equipment is safely stored and prepared for community distribution.

Every item shared helps someone remain safer at home, maintain independence, and stay connected to the life and community they love.

Because at Wilson Rides, it’s never just about transportation — it’s about caring for the whole person.
