Mt. Juliet, TN — A major milestone in the long-awaited expansion of the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center arrives today, December 1, 2025, with the official 11:00 a.m. closing of the sale of its current building. With today’s closing, the Center now moves forward with signing a contract to begin the full renovation of the former Mt. Juliet Police Department building, located on Charlie Daniels Parkway.
To celebrate this historic day, the Center invites members, supporters, and community partners to witness the final signing. A reception with light treats will immediately follow the 11:00 a.m. closing. All activities at the Center will be postponed from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; however, lunch will be served on its normal schedule.
Renovation work is expected to begin soon, with a projected move-in during the summer of 2026. The new Senior Activity Center will offer expanded program space, improved accessibility, and enhanced opportunities for connection, wellness, and lifelong learning—bringing MJSAC one step closer to its new home.
Executive Director Valissa Saindon shared her excitement and gratitude:

Our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and so many dedicated individuals before us have poured their hearts into making this dream a reality. We are thrilled to take this next step, and we cannot wait to welcome our members into a space that truly reflects the vibrant, active, and growing community we serve.”
Membership Opportunities Now Open
As the Center prepares for its future move, community members age 55+ are invited to join now and be part of the excitement.
Annual membership is $65 per person ($68 if paid by credit/debit card) and is open to adults age 55+ from any county—residency in Wilson County is not required. Membership includes access to daily activities, classes, social events, and opportunities to build meaningful connections.
